July’s Oil Change Charity of the Month – Growing Place’s ‘Summer Camp’. The Growing Place is an early childhood program that is certified as a Star Level Two under the Quality Counts: Quality Rating System (QRS) through the Illinois Department of Human Resources (IDHS) and the Illinois Network of Child Care Resources and Referral Agencies (INCCRRA). This holds us to a higher standard of excellence and we exceed DCFS licensing standards.

A not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization which has offered quality child care in the DeKalb community since 1973.

Also a member of the Community Coordinated Child Care
(4-C), the DeKalb United Way, and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce.

This month the NAPA Autocares of DeKalb County brought in $706.00 for YMCA’s “Strong Kids Campaign”. Each month the NAPA autocare centers donates a portion from every oil change to a local charity.

I just had the opportunity to drop off a check, in the amount of $852.00 to the DeKalb County Hospice. This month’s Oil Change Charity is the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign. We will donate a portion from every oil change we do this month to the Kishwaukee Family YMCA. For more information please click the link: http://kishymca.org/donate.html

DeKalb County Hospice is a nonprofit community based hospice program that has been providing quality end-of- life care and bereavement support to our community since 1982.

I was able to drop off the checks from the NAPA AutoCare Centers to Love Inc. on Friday. Love Inc. brings Christian churches together, across denominational lines, to help the poor by meeting immediate needs such as food and clothing, to longer-term responses through relational ministries such as life skills training and transitional housing.

During the month of December, the DeKalb Area Napa Auto Care centers raised $686.00 for Opportunity House. The Napa Auto Care centers donate $1 from every oil change performed to local charities. To date we have raised over $6400.00.

Our “Oil Change Charity” this month is Opportunity House. So come in and get your oil changed on your vehicle and help a great charity. Opportunity House, Inc. is a not-for-profit, community sponsored organization providing rehabilitative services to people with disabilities. Our primary service area is DeKalb County.

This year the DeKalb area NAPA Business Development Group raised $747.00 for the Salvation Army’s “Freezing For Food” campaign. Picture 111

new 12-1 007In November the Napa AutoCare group donated $829.00 for the “Let’s Talk Turkey” fund raiser by the Salvation Army. I also got to talk to Mark Baldin from WLBK 1360 radio station. Big Check
